Description \u2013 Objectives <\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The project REVIVAL entitled \u201cDevelopment of ELVs management process methodology and benefits of fluff utilization\u201d aims at developing, implementing and optimizing the valorization of End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) taking into consideration all processing stages: the take back of the car, the dismantling\/depollution process, the shredding process, the recovery of metals and the processing of the fluff for the production of altenative fuel meeting the specifications of industrial end users.<\/p>

The objectives of the project are the following:<\/p>

  1. The measurement and the optimization of the ELVs dismantling and depollution process<\/li>
  2. The measurement of the impact of the dismantling process on the performance of the shredder<\/li>
  3. The measurement and the optimization of the recovery of steel and ferrous contained in ELVs<\/li>
  4. The measurement and the optimization of the performance of the fluff processing facility<\/li>
  5. Codification of all above best techniques and results in a handbook for the processing of ELVs<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The project of AEIFOROS SA in the framework of the Action \u201cRESEARCH-CREATE-INNOVATE\u201d has been granted co-financing by Greece and the European Union (European Regional Development Fund) in context with the Operational Program \u201cCompetiveness Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPAnEK) of the NSRF 2014-2020.\u00a0<\/span>The duration of the program is 30 months and will be implemented by AEIFOROS SA in collaboration with the research Centre CERTH and the standardization organization ELOT.<\/span>In continuation of no. prot. 5420\/17-11-2020 of the decision of the General Secretary of Research and Technology on the subject \"Granting a horizontal extension of the implementation period for the integrated projects of the RESEARCH - CREATE - INNOVATE Action due to the extraordinary health conditions\" the program is extended by six (6 ) months.<\/p><\/div>

    In this section the progress of the project will be analyzed \u2013 the results and the graphical representation of the results extracted from the execution of the project. In more detail, the following graph shows the percentage of the shredded scrap and the shredding residue after the grindings that were carried out (after the depollution of the ELVs) during the project:\u00a0<\/p>
